Yes. You can give a gift in memory of or in celebration of your friends and families. Acknowledgement cards will be sent to the person with the name and address you provide. When donating online, please leave details about your gift in the message box at checkout. -
How are gift catalogue items selected?
The church consulted with Mission and Service Fund partners and relevant stakeholders for projects with a limited timeframe and a separate budget. We asked them to suggest projects apart from our ongoing core funding that we could offer in the gift catalogue. -
Is my money considered a donation or a sponsorship? Do I get a tax receipt?
Your money is considered a donation and you will get a tax receipt. -
Who does the tax receipt go to—me or the gift recipient?
It goes to you (the donor). -
When will I get my tax receipt?
For orders placed in 2012, receipts will be issued in January, 2013. -
Why can't I have the tax receipt sent to the gift recipient? / Can you notify the gift recipient that I made a gift in their name?
By law, you must be shown as the donor and receive the charitable donation receipt. However, in the course of the order process, we make it possible for you to send an e-mail notification or print a card for the gift recipient letting them know that the gift has been made. -
How do I print out a receipt for myself so I know who received what gift from me?
At the end of the ordering process, you will be asked to print a PDF card or send an e-mail the recipient. You will also be sent a detailed confirmation e-mail. -
Will my gift be credited to my congregation's Mission & Service Fund goal?
Gifts with Vision is a program for those who wish to provide additional support to specific Mission and Service partners. This giving is recognized over and above the objectives that congregations set for the church's Mission and Service Fund. Gifts with Vision does not contribute to the General Fund of The United Church of Canada. All gift amounts go to the designated partners unless a donation is made to the Mission and Service Fund itself. -
Can I make a donation/give a gift to the Mission and Service Fund through Gifts with Vision?
Yes, you can give a gift to the Mission and Service Fund to use where it is most needed, by selecting the Mission and Service Fund gift option or by clicking the “Donate” link in the green bar above. -

How are prices determined for items in the gift catalogue?
Our Mission and Service partners are keenly aware of costs to run their programs and projects. With their help we have broken the total costs into “gift-sized” portions for individuals reading the catalogue. For groups or people who wish to make a large gift, please refer to our Extra Measures program or consult the United Church Foundation. -
How long does it take to transfer my money to the designated project(s)?
The transfers will happen over a period of months. The final payment will be made in June 2013. -
Can I receive a feedback report showing how my money is used?
We cannot provide individual reports to donors because of the great cost that would incur to the Mission and Service Fund. General reports will be posted online periodically. -

All of your gift (minus the cost of printing and postage, up to 10%) goes to the designated projects. -
What if you raise more funds than expected for a particular item?
If by chance a gift idea is so popular that it becomes oversubscribed, additional gifts will be forwarded to that same partner to be used for the next greatest need. -
