Mamawintowin is the Cree word for community. And community is the focus of River Bend Integrated Community Ministries’ weekly meal program for people who live in poverty and are being displaced as Saskatoon’s core is rebuilt. Chop and Chat uses food to bring people together in a safe space to share a nutritious and culturally diverse meal, learn healthy food and kitchen skills, and take part in a program that focuses on getting hard-to-employ people into good jobs.
Your Gift of $50 provides two hours of intensive training for one person, equipping them with marketable job skills.
