In Anishinaabemowin, “We are strong” is Daamishkooziimin. This is also the name of a healing circle for Sixties Scoop survivors and Indigenous adoptees. At this monthly gathering, some attendees share their experiences for the first time in their lives. The Rev. Evan Smith of Toronto Urban Native Ministry, who is an adoptee, facilitates the circle.
Your Gift of $10 covers transit for one adoptee to attend a healing circle.
Your Gift of $20 provides materials for the healing circles, including drum-making supplies.
